This course addresses ethical behaviour of life insurance agents in regards to their conduct towards their clients and the insurance companies that they represent. The life insurance agent must follow the standards set by statute, regulating bodies, and common practice. Topics covered in the course include: ethical conduct, conflicts of interest, ethical selling, fiduciary obligations, principal/agent relationship, responsibilities and obligations, dealing with complaints and unethical behaviour and educational requirements, statues, regulations, and codes of conduct.

Leveraging for Investments Course

This course will help you to understand all aspects of leveraging, including insurance leveraging, in order for you to evaluate whether or not it is an appropriate strategy to suggest for your clients. The course will discuss the definition of leverage, investing using leverage, the risks involved, insurance leveraging, assisting your client, and case studies.

If you have never taken a course with IFSE.ca, follow these instructions:
  1. Go to www.ifse.ca.
  2. From the homepage click on the button Become a Student.
  3. Supply all mandatory fields (indicated by a * next to the field) and click Next to create your profile.
  4. Select Enrol in a Course located on the menu on the left side of the screen.
  5. Select Continuing Education as your Area of Interest.
  6. Enter the contract number and password in the fields provided and then click Yes.
  7. Select the course that you would like to take.
  8. Review the Terms and Conditions and accept to complete your enrolment.
  9. Verify all fees and click on Proceed to Payment.
  10. Confirm shipping information if applicable and click Next.
  11. Provide credit card information and click on Pay Now. A copy of the receipt will appear and can be printed for your records. The receipt will also be stored in your student record for future reference.
